STARS Design 2023

STARS Design 2023 online exhibition showcases projects the second-year master students made in collaboration with Sasakawa International Center for Space Architecture (SICSA) at the University of Houston, as well as scientific support from NASA experts/former NASA astronauts.

The students were tasked to create a design that could be used in extreme places ranging from microgravity and lower gravity environments in space to more terrestrial conditions dealing with challenging circumstances. To gain a better understanding of spaceflight and life in extreme conditions, LUSID offers an optional annual NASA and SICSA study tour to Houston, Texas, where students spend two weeks gaining intensive insights into various areas of space exploration.
