REY

Rey is a cordless lighting series aimed towards small scale restaurants with a desire to create a seamless and ambient lighting environment for their guests.

This thesis has aimed to explore lighting design within the realm of cordless lighting. The main focus has been on the possibilities of cordless ceiling and wall mounted lighting, created with restaurants in mind.

Lighting plays a big role in setting the mood, which is especially important during a dining experience. This is recognized by many restaurateurs, and a lot of attention is spent on ensuring that the lighting image enhances the concept of the restaurant. 

Cordless lighting can with ease bring light to alternative spaces, offering restaurants more flexibility in re-arranging their layout. Cordless lamps can be placed to ensure adequate illumination without compromising comfort or aesthetics.
