LUNDA Table

A Canadian interpretation of Scandinavian design

As a Canadian exchange student, from Emily Carr University in Vancouver, British Columbia, I made it my goal to embrace the Swedish Scandinavian lifestyle, and to the best of my ability, understand and incorporate Scandinavian aesthetics into my own practice as a designer. After many weeks of research I came to the conclusion that the definition and idea of Scandinavian design would never be for me exactly what it means to another Scandinavian person, or any other person for that matter. The only way I can best describe the aesthetic of my small table would be with the phrase “Candinavian Design”.
The circular design on the LUNDA table is intuitive to its function and means to evoke a pleasurable and dynamic experience to the end consumer.
