INFRASCOPE

Portable device designed to 3D scan caves

INFRASCOPE is an innovative portable device designed for scientists to 3D scan caves in extreme environments.

Exploring the world around us is a core human behavior and has always been. Whether it is extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme humidity, or even extreme depth, humans have ventured almost everywhere, without always understanding these difficult environments.

With the environmental issues of the 21st century, understanding, analyzing, and protecting our planet and our world has become a priority. Indeed, due to human impact and natural phenomena, science is more than ever linked to technology and design in order to solve problems for a brighter future.

The InfraScope integrates a LiDAR used in an uncommon way. It allows speleologists to 3D scan and map caves as if they were using a flashlight and a phone.
