Tea is a globalized, mass-produced product that requires long-distance transportation, and during this process, a lot of energy is consumed. It would benefit our environment if people could make tea in their own homes.
This tea leaf dryer consists of a plate for placing tea leaves and a supporting foot. The plate has a wavy surface which increases friction and prevents the tea leaves from sliding. The holes on the plate allow for better air circulation. Different angles between the plate and ground are achieved by inserting the foot into different holes on the plate, to suit the different seasons. In the winter, a larger angle is needed to achieve optimal drying efficiency but in the summer a smaller angle is required. This product is made of birch and produced by CNC.
