“myop” is a set that offers a traditional way of preparing fresh pasta at home, as an artisan or a small restaurant. It consists of all the various tools needed to prepare different pasta shapes from scratch. The material used is basically just beech wood, left untreated to emphasize its traditional character.
The process of preparing pasta freshly requires only very few ingredients, and although it is a craft in itself, not much experience is needed to achieve good results.
The starting point of the project was our alienation from food and its production. Industrial processing makes it increasingly difficult to understand how different foods are made and what they contain. Therefore, my idea was to encourage people to prepare food fresh again, and thus regain an appreciation for craftsmanship, quality and freshness.
