INDIGO

INDIGO - the lounge chair

The fashion industry is a significant contributing factor to the environmental problems in today’s society. The solution is complex and requires changes in both the industry itself and at an individual level for a larger impact.

Indigo is a lounge chair made from recycled and reused materials. The upholstery is crafted from upcycled jeans, and the wooden construction is made from an old IKEA “BILLY” shelf. This project aims to encourage people to be more conscious about their consumption and to think more sustainably before purchasing.

The jeans used for this project are provided by Siptex, the world’s first large-scale textile recycling facility.
