CHICKEN COOP ESSENTIALS
A set of tools for the daily management of chicken
Processed food is everywhere and you don’t have to make a big effort to fill your stomach. But as accessible as it is, there are still people who spend hours producing food from scratch that could potentially be more sustainable and better for the climate. I have interviewed and visited people who are self-sufficient in chickens and eggs. What I found during the project was that these people value knowing what their animals eat, the environment they live in and their quality of life. These factors make it worthwhile to keep chickens instead of buying eggs or chicken in a shop, for example. The project resulted in a range of tools used for the daily management of chickens.
