Promoting sustainable local farming
It is important to decompose when farming to ensure that the soil is full of nutrients. The small scale farmers do not have that much space to decompose in the traditional way, that is why bokashi is an attractive alternative. Using this method at a farm requires big vessels which will be filled to the limit. They will therefore be too heavy for one person to operate in an ergonomically safe manner. My project is focused on creating a ramp to help the emptying of the vessels. The ramp is easy to use, durable and cheap to produce.
