iF Concept Award 2008 – NIM

November 14, 2008

iF Concept Award 2008 is awarded for:
NIM by Jacob von Matern & Fredrik Hyltén-Cavallius

The NIM frame is made of a carbon fibre sandwich material, which makes it very light and strong. The sandwich material consists of two layers of carbon fibre twill on both sides of a light but firm core foam. NIM is also built to be as easy as possible to handle. An allen key is the only tool needed for all the main functions. NIM also has a built-in wire locking system located within the frame. By using your normal key you can also turn the handlebars 90° to make it easier to park in a tight bike stand, transport NIM in your car, or take it with you to your apartment.
