An office chair with integrated cooling Phase Change Material
The goal of this project was to explore ways to lower energy consumption in relation to the energy crisis. The project aim was to find a non-electric alternative to today’s use of air conditioning in office spaces. This project explored how Phase Change Material can be integrated into an office chair and create a temperature regulated microenvironment around the body.
The result is an ergonomic and adjustable office chair that has an inside sandwich structure with PCM packages, that regulates and cools the body temperature during seating.
