The time individuals spend in isolation has increased greatly following the preventive measures taken because of the covid-19 pandemic. Subsequently, measuring personal time has gradually become of more importance to that of collective time. The latter one which is represented by the clock.

As a generation of people that have entered isolation together, social distancing has highlighted our need for structure within the realm of personal time. This project attempts to introduce a new way of timekeeping and time perception to the general public.

The result is Tranquil. A two-piece glassware product that measures and visualises passing time through the use of water motion. Time lasts according to how much water it is filled up with. The device allows the user to adapt time to their personal needs. It is a proposition of a different timekeeping method to help us with adjusting to the present period.
