REMOTE WORK & GOOD ERGONOMICS
A TRANSFORMABLE DINING CHAIR
Due to the pandemic, home working has been implemented in our work life the recent years. This has resulted in an increase of strain injuries cause of bad ergonomic sitting positions. This project is an examination of our home workplaces with the purpose of optimizing the human posture by including good ergonomics in future static remote work.
With an experimenting approach, I explore the possibilities of designing a dining chair with simple adjustments to transform the dining chair into a work chair.
The purpose is to design a multifunctional chair that ensures good ergonomic sitting positions to decrease the risk of developing strain injuries when working remotely in the home.
