“Plato” is an alternative ceramic dishware set for visually impaired people. It enhances the experience of preparing and consuming food and cleaning dishes. The sense of tactility has been one of the main factors around which the design has been evolving, translated through flowing geometries, and material choices. Braille measurement indicators, pouring beaks, and elevated edges are some of the features helping the user in his tasks. Storage and interaction with those items is carefully thought out, keeping its usability true and simple avoiding overwhelming information. The overall apearance is as inclusive as usual dishware can be, averting unnecessary stigmatisation.
