Pi Pa Po

With this hand carved tool children are able to produce their own paper pots for planting seeds. By reusing paper waste they can create pulp that will serve as the raw material to shape pots with different geometric shapes. Once grown into a scion the pots can be embedded into nature to grow bigger.

The tool consists of six different shapes that serve as moulds to create the pots. While still wet, the pulp can be put around the moulds. Once dried out, they are ready to be used.

The idea is that children will develop an understanding of recycling, crafting and repurposing material in a hands-on and playful approach. The pots will naturally decompose with time.
