My bowl – our future

Dishes for a more cyclic behaviour

They way of using dishes in school cantines nowadays teaches children to act in linear ways. Pupils grab their dishes, eat from them and hand the dirty dishes back in. They do not feel responsible to clean the products after use.

This thoughtless behaviour is common in our society. Especially in fast food restaurants it causes a lot of waste.

What if children take over responsibility from the beginning? If they have their own bowl, they see the necessity to take care of it. Unless they clean it, they can not use it the next day. This way of cyclic behaviour will help children to identify with the products they use.
