A wearable Narcan auto injection system.
The device monitors the heart rate of the user and administers Narcan automatically in the event of a fentanyl overdose. It can be used to save the lives of homeless drug addicts who use illegal substances alone, but it can also be used by law enforcement or ambulance workers who come into contact with fentanyl on a regular basis. As fentanyl is very potent, just touching it poses a risk. The system might also be useful for those people who use lighter recreational drugs, such as marijuana. Many illegitimate sources provide drugs tainted with fentanyl, intentionally or otherwise. So even if someone only smokes marijuana, they could die from a fentanyl overdose.
