Lekfull is a playful set of soft silicone containers aimed to encourage kids’ natural interaction with food. Each container focuses on natural gestures that distinguish children in the kitchen, such as licking or eating with the hands. The objects are characterized by a cut and intuitive shape, that suggests the direction of usage and at the same time allow them to experiment freely. I was interested in exploring how kids find themselves in a context where the mess and having no rules is allowed. The material, food-organic silicone that can be machine-washed, makes the objects soft and allows them to be squeezed into different configurations. The main focus is to create a sensory experience of drinking, eating and enjoying a meal, creating a more active connection with food.
