PRODUCT DESIGN BASED ON THE CONTEXT OF CONSUMERISM

Lagom is a Swedish word, meaning “just right, just enough.”


The absolute lagom exists only inside, not outside. When you want to take possession of a product, you should stop and think: What is your intention? Where is your lagom? Even if this product is very well designed, when it actually enters into our daily life, will it break the balance?


This design provides some alternative measuring tools, which are less precise and rely more on people’s intuition. With these tools, it is really hard to find the exact midpoint or level. But maybe you will realize that you do not really need that perfection.


This design may bring some inspiration to people’s consumption behavior. Sometimes, it is good enough to be not so good. Sometimes, it is good enough to live with your old phone.
