ILLU

This project explores optical effects of light emitting materials and how it may affect us.
The table luminaire is covered by fabric with a moiré effect, and the wall luminaire creates colorful reflections with a film. The aim was to mimic a feeling of being a part of something, to create an ability to change something, and to curate a feeling of responsibility.
The experience differs when the observer moves around the luminaires. It makes the observer a part of the objects and creates a self-awareness. The relation between the observer and the luminaires creates a tangibility because they are dependent on each other. Open constructions are used to create a better understanding of the production processes behind the objects.
Light makes it possible for us to perceive the world, and could possibly be used to make us perceive it differently.
