IKEA WALL SHELVES

This project was done in collaboration with IKEA of Sweden. Learning about their design process and exploring the increasing need for small, compact storage solutions.

The first shelf is made of thin sheet metal to create a light and easily handled shelf. The four pieces are able to be arranged in a number of different configurations to fit the users own needs and wishes. This joining system also allows the shelf to be expanded with more shelves and with its colorful and vibrant expression it can very easily give your space a splash of color.

Second shelf is made out of a melamine covered plywood. With a distinct form and silhouette it can act as a side table in your hallway. Giving you the ability to hide away your things in the hidden storage underneath while still allowing you to use the shelf-space for things you want to show/display.
