Collaboration with Swedese and Malmö Upcycling Service
“Is this honestly waste?” Yes it is! The waste from Swedese’s own production in Vaggeryd, their suppliers Steelnova and Anderssons Mekaniska has been transformed into a series of products that are designed for the home and office.
One person’s trash is another person’s treasure, and in this case Swedese saw potential in their own waste. Ellen got the opportunity to design these products with help from Malmö Upcycling Service.
The material used hasn’t seen the light of day before it becomes trash. Ellen has looked into what function and quality it inherits, and designed based on shape, material and production methods. Using the material as a starting point, means that less unnecessary energy is used when producing.
