In the hectic and stressful climate of our more or less urbanized lives, it can be easy to neglect our surroundings and forget about our origins. The experiences and knowledge obtained from nature are increasingly absent for many children.
This project focuses on the connection between children and nature in an outdoor oriented preschool. The aim is to offer children motivation through responsibility and pride by giving them a feeling of ownership over their personal gear and to increase their outdoor presence.
The backpack becomes especially useful when the preschool does not have immediate access to nature. With the right equipment, getting into nature becomes an outing or an adventure in itself. An adventure where being present in the moment is of big importance and having control over the personal gear is key to be able to focus and learn from the surroundings.
