Endangered Oddballs

Addressing biodiversity loss by sculptures

The Endangered Oddball collection is a series of figures of lesser known and less charismatic endangered animals

The “Endangered Oddballs” project addresses the pressing issue of biodiversity loss by using sculptures as a medium for raising awareness and funds for endangered species. Through a combination of artistic interpretation and scientific research a series of figures that accurately represent lesser-known endangered animals was produced. The research method involved close observation and study of each species’ appearance, behavior and ecological significance with additional help provided by WAWA conservation group. Created using Blender, 3D-printing and various painting techniques.

The project shows how art is a powerful tool to educate and make viewers think about their relationship with nature and hopefully take action to protect Earth’s biodiversity.
