An analogue drum machine

A drum machine is a musical instrument which electronically creates percussive sounds. This project is about designing an analogue drum machine that makes the experience of shaping sounds intuitive and playful. At the same time it offers endless combinations and lets the user explore a world of sounds.

Building sounds is about combining the different blocks and tweaking their settings. There are eight different sound blocks that either makes a sound or manipulates another sound. The blocks are inserted in one of the four slots on each channel. This means that each voice can be made up from as much as four different sounds, making the combinations almost endless.
