Silver Lining

An oil lamp

Being naked is a way of being honest, vulnerable and unfiltered. I want to encourage and celebrate nakedness in a world where it can feel challenging. Designing for the space where we would present ourselves physically naked, the project goal is to transform the atmosphere with light, shifting our experience from scrupulous to adventurous and in the end, comforting.

By focusing on analogue production methods I make room for visual “imperfections”. This creates an honest and naked appearance. The hand work inevitably leaves traces of the making, giving the viewer an unfiltered hint of its story. The luminaire fills the room with a comforting atmosphere as well as a reminiscence of nature.
