NAKED CHAIR

In spite of the diverse interpretation of nakedness, beautiful or ugly, delight or remorse, the word undeniably indicates a sense of pure honesty. That is what the chair emphasizes. By stripping out the textile and the foam, I reveal a carcass of the chair with the bare-bone function in mind. Zigzag springs, used in upholstered furniture, are always hidden under the soft layers. In this project, they became the main accent, both aesthetically and functionally. The chair serves as a great outdoor furniture inviting a short but comfortable seating.
